On a lighter note

Who remembers the Schoolhouse Rock series? Of course you do. One of my absolute favorites was "Lucky 7 Sampson" because 7 is my lucky number. Also, it has Bob Dorough on vocals and the rabbit was so cool.
So, you can imagine my delight when Squishable posted today about a recycled bunny who looks similar to my old pal Lucky 7 Sampson. I have a birthday coming up. That's all I'm saying.

Why, yes, I am aware that I'm in my 40's.

Damn, those are cute. The understudies are way better than the Big ones.

Odd, though; I remember a lot of Schoolhouse Rock episodes (every saturday morning PLANTED in front of the t.v.), but I do not remember Lucky 7 Sampson. Perhaps that explains my inability to multiply 7s.

I didn't remember Lucky 7 Sampson either.

So I busted out my School House Rock DVD collection and checked him out and got schooled. Yeah...gotta love school house rock.

Yeah Lucky 7! Speaking of Schoolhouse Rock, the new tapes have Cloris Leachman, (sorry if I botched the spelling) and our Jake was her limo driver in NYC last week! He sent me a picture of him with her..she's 85. Anyway...just a sidenote from anon.

One year for Christmas (when I was 43) my folks asked me what I wanted. I said a Minnie Mouse watch. Dad dutifully went off to a Dept. store to purchase said item. The clerk asked him how old his daughter was, and he told her. Ah yes, the good old days.

Who know has to purchase her own fun stuff for Chritmas.
