As I was preparing to leave my office today (yes, on a Saturday--I had a meeting) this is what I saw hovering over Hollywood:
You can't see it because of the cloud cover, but right in the center of that black area is the Capitol Records tower, which just happens to be a few short blocks from my home. Yippee! I love driving right into a storm.
Of course, I'm only half complaining. I love rain (in moderation) and it's great to finally have weather to speak of. But still, that black cloud looks like it's fixin' to funnel and reminded me of The Day After Tomorrow.

Wow that's an awesome picture!
I had that kind of weather on Thursday evening. I came out of a meeting to find rain coming down literally in sheets. When it let up a wee bit I ran to my car in ankle-deep running water, and almost all the streets were flooded. By my house, the water went over the curb and up into the yards. There was a tornado touchdown somewhere, but not hear us. And..good news...our power stayed on! We lost it 3 times in August, for 2-3 DAYS each time. I'm not complaining about rain though. In Minnesota it will soon be snow...BAH HUMBUG!
Aaaaarrrggghhhh were all going to die!
Well probably not, but I was just getting into the LA spirit.
We have that kind of weather all the time. Its been threatening to storm all weekend so it will no doubt pee it down tomorrow - when im walking to work - because the weather hates me!
That is a great picture. Please tell me it was NOT from a camera phone.
Thank you all, but I had very little to do with the picture. Mother Nature took care of that. And no, it wasn't taken with my phone. I have a Fuji something-or-other digital with my at all times for just such occasions.
